The Town of Brookfield Fire Department is a full service fire department. We provide our customers with fire suppression, fire inspection, fire prevention, rescue, emergency medical services, and special services.
We accomplish this by providing full-time staffing with part-time employees. We do this 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. At any time, there is a minimum of 5 personnel on duty to provide these services. In the event of a time intensive emergency, personnel can be recalled to assist.
The fire department also has mutual aid that it uses for large scale incidents. Areas of the town are broken up into “box areas” for quick reference. When the on scene commander needs additional resources, they can ask the dispatcher.
Through mutual aid, special services such as hazardous materials and technical rescue are made available. Hazardous materials and technical rescue are provided through the City of Waukesha ..
